Join Lex & 3rd Block Association (L3BA) + Gigi’s Playhouse* for a Big Spring Cleaning in East Harlem. We are seeking volunteers to help beautify our blocks & our local street tree beds. By cleaning our blocks, street tree beds, and planting seeds (flowers), we aim to transform these spaces from neglected areas into thriving focal points.
*Gigi’s Playhouse is an achievement center for individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community in NYC

Event Details Purpose: Block Clean Up + Street tree maintenance and beautification + Planting Flower Seeds in the Tree beds
Mission: To honor our neighborhood/city with a Big Spring Cleaning. To honor the trees by ensuring their beds remain clean and healthy, with lovely flowers that will keep the tree healthy and keep them company, plus reversing the mindset that tree beds are for trash.
Theme: NYC Big Spring Clean
Inclusivity: Families, students, youth groups, and individuals are all welcome. L3BA is a non-partisan organization dedicated to our common interest: a clean, green city.
Supplies: All necessary tools and materials will be provided. Thank you Sanitation Foundation for the tool grant!
