Brooklyn Botanical Garden suggests adding compost for your street trees once a year. About 1/2 spread will do. Then recommends topping with 2-3 inches of mulch.*
NOTE:
Mulch is not provided, but can be collected free of charge at the Greenwood Cemetery (25th St & 5th Ave).
