Volunteer: Block Cleanup Day

We'll be picking up litter across West 75th Street from Riverside Drive to Central Park West. There is no heavy lifting, and we provide the supplies, including litter pickers, gloves, and garbage bags. A member of the Manhattan 75 Block Association is on hand to answer questions and weigh the garbage when the volunteers have finished. We typically complete the entire street in one hour, from 10:30-11:30 AM.

Volunteer with the District 39 Cleanup Crew to pick up litter with your neighbors! Join the District 39 Cleanup Crew for a street cleanup on Saturday July 25! Meet at the intersection of Nevins St and Carroll St at 9:45am. We will aim to clean the street from Nevins St to Union St, between Carroll St and 3rd Avenue. The Cleanup Crew will provide gloves, trash pickers and bags to those who need them, though you're welcome to bring any tools you may have. We will intend to cleanup until 11:00am or so. Join NYC H2O and the Hutchinson River Restoration Project for a shoreline cleanup at Pelham Bay. We will meet in the parking lot of the Pelham Bay Track and Athletic Field, look for the blue NYC H2O tent. Don't forget to wear sunscreen and bring water to stay hydrated! We look forward to working together and cleaning up our community.

Please be aware that ticks are particularly bad this season. Be sure to wear high socks, closed toed shoes, and long pants are preferred to protect from ticks. You an also bring tick or bug spray as a deterent and please check yourself after the cleanup.
