You can view the newest collection trucks, transformed by local artists to highlight the amazing work of our Sanitation Department. Then take to the streets with other New Yorkers for a facilitated community litter cleanup. Trucks of Art Led by the NYC Department of Sanitation and the Sanitation Foundation, Trucks of Art invited artists to transform active collection trucks into moving works of art using reclaimed paint. On May 19 in Union Square, five different artist-designed DSNY collection trucks will be unveiled to the public for the first time. After the event, they’ll go into to service and travel through neighborhoods across NYC. Big Spring Clean Join the Sanitation Foundation and help power one of NYC’s biggest volunteer litter cleanups ever. Participate in over 150 cleanups and activities throughout the five boroughs in April and May as part of NYC Big Spring Clean.
