Join JBRPC, the National Parks Service, and Sadhana for a shoreline cleanup at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge's East Pond.

Join the Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and Sadhana for a shoreline cleanup at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge's East Pond valve supported by Councilmember Joann Ariola and Assemblymember Stacey Pheffer Amato.

Gloves, bags, and tools will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy, closed-toe shoes and bring their own water and sunscreen. The cleanup will be canceled in the event of heavy rain or thunder/lightning in the forecast.

Please Note:

Volunteers will meet at the end of W Road, off of Cross Bay Blvd. If arriving on foot please be prepared to walk/bike 7 minutes over the gravel trail from Cross Bay Blvd to the East Pond.

If arriving by car, please be prepared to drive slowly over the uneven trail and maneuver around dips at times, parking is available along the trail.

Join JBRPC and the New Hamilton Beach Civic Association for a shoreline cleanup to help keep our coastal habitats clean and thriving, and let’s leave the shore better than we found it.

Important things to note:

Meeting Location: Hamilton Beach Park is located at the end of 104 Street, past 165th ave in Howard Beach, NY.

There is no public restroom on site, with the nearest restroom located at Frank M. Charles Memorial Park on 98th street and 165th ave.
