Who We Are
We are a group of middle school after school participants who are part of Bronx Helpers. We are part of the after school programs that make up the Youth and Family Development department at New Settlement.
What We Do
There will be a focus on cleaning up the tree pits along Jerome Ave from West 172nd Street to Goble Place. We worked with Trees New York to clean up and plant bulbs in about 7 to 8 trees, help clean up litter and take pics before and after. We are part of a competition called First Pitch and we want to community to help us clean up one city block- West 172nd Street along Jerome Ave to Goble Place, along Inwood Ave back to West 172nd Street. We will also weigh our efforts so bring all trash back to West 172nd street meet up location. We have tools to share from the starter kit we received, please feel free to bring your own gear and help us work for the community to better our lives!
