Who We Are
The Garden by the Bay, a 15,000 sq ft. garden/greenspace located in Edgemere, NY, a food desert. We are striving to build community and resiliency while transforming blight into an urban oasis and community anchor.
What We Do
We're more than a Garden, The Garden by the Bay's stewardship doesn't begin nor end at the garden. Our commitment to our community extends far beyond our advocacy for an Environmental Just Community. Whether is through our participation in resiliency initiatives, beach and shoreline clean-ups, community health and wellness workshops, recreation activities; birding, hiking, kayaking that fosters inclusion of BIPOC community members in Blue and Green spaces within the Rockaways.
