Who We Are
East Harlem Community Group doing Clean Up* and Street Tree Care Events between Lex & 3rd Avenue from 96th to 104th Street.
We cordially invite you to volunteer with us. It's fun! Please visit our website for more information about us. Check out our Instagram l3ba_nyc for reels of our past events and information on upcoming volunteer events. We also post our events here on the Sanitation Foundation volunteer hub and on our website.
Thank you!
* A big part of our Clean Up Events is our ongoing Positive Affirmation Street Art Series created by L3BA neighborhood resident Painter + Street Artist, Palomas Del El Barrio. Palomas creates street art themes for our events and provides us with non toxic easily washable chalk that is safe for dogs and wildlife. Check out our Instagram Clean Up Highlight reels for more on our Positive Affirmation Street Art Series.
What We Do
https://www.l3banyc.org/events
Cleaning an entire neighborhood can feel like an overwhelming and unattainable task. By focusing on a specific target area—Lexington and 3rd Avenue, from 96th to 104th Street—we can achieve a consistent plateau of cleanliness. Through regular "Clean Up + Street Tree Care" events, we aim to reach a point where our neighborhood is consistently clean and residents take pride in keeping it that way.
While our primary goal is the well-being of our own community, we hope our success serves as a model that spreads throughout the city, perhaps even sparking friendly competitions to see which NYC neighborhood can be the cleanest and greenest.
